Movin' Right Along

Well that dreary old post was up for quite a while. We're all better here - still got a little cough & getting energy levels back. But definitely better than we were!!!

Back to enjoying taking Sasha to school & home again. Getting as much walking in as possible. It's one of my favourite times of day generally - a great opportunity to have a chat & spend some quality time together. Especially when it's just the two of us & we're not running late so I don't have to spend the entire trip nagging to hurry up.

Her commonsense on the scooter is exceptional. She knows to stick to the edge of the road. If she sees a car she hops off onto the grass & waits for it to pass. She will go a little way ahead, or a long way if she's on a footpath, but she always stops & waits for me at the roads, etc. She just blows me away with her natural commonsense!! Of course I know exactly where she gets it from! lol

Nikita's been a little naughty lately. Making messes & refusing to tidy up after herself. I see a bit of a pattern here - she gets sick & has no energy, then when she's starting to feel better & her energy returns, she gets naughty. Drives me bonkers!! And *sometimes* makes me laugh. She's off to PreKindy tomorrow. Shes not enjoying it any more which is a shame. "It's too long" :( It's a fairly common thing for kids to start to get upset some time into the term when they realise that it's a permanent thing. Apparently she's fine once we leave, so fairly typical separation anxiety. I think she amazes her teachers a bit too. She IS amazing - always amazing me & I know her so well!!

It's the last week of Term 1 already. So we've got a couple of weeks to fill in and DB's away for the holidays. Already we have a trip to Caversham Wildlife Park (again - went there a few weeks ago too!), AQWA and an ice-skating outing. Also I need to make some time to get the paint organised for the girls' rooms before we get the call to arrange delivery of their furniture.

Anyway, I'd best be off. Parent Roster for PrePrimary tomorrow for the first time this year. I'm a little nervous, I found it quite daunting last year trying to keep the kids doing what they were supposed to!! And DB has a post-it note with my available dates for PreKindy parent roster Term 2 - Nikki's just hanging out to see what it's like to have one of us stay with her!
