Sick of sickness

Just an indulgent feeling sorry for myself kinda post - feel free to skip!!

I'm just so sick & tired of sick kids & me being sick!!! I'm tired and crappy. The girls are just completely disregarding me when I ask them to tidy up, or do anything. They say it's too hard, there's too much mess. "But you made the mess (FFS)!!!!".

This afternoon I asked them to tidy up their bedrooms whilst I made dinner. They didn't. They played. So I ended up yelling at them all evening to get it done, and threatening to take away their bedtime toys, in addition to all their other toys which weren't put away. Nikita just sat in her room crying and coughing & not packing up and ended up spewing up into her toy box. OMFG!!!!!

So they've had a stack of stuff taken away into a rubbish bag which I'm seriously thinking about giving away to kids who need & appreciate toys.

I did relent & give them their bedtime toys. If I didn't I'd not see the end of them tonight & have no opportunity for peace & time out.

So now I'm just feeling sad, guilty, tired & generally like a crappy person & a crappy parent.

C'mon good health!!!! - time to visit this home again.

Sending you a big hug and tons of good health vibes...

Don't be too hard on yourself, I think all parents have the same problem when it comes to picking up toys!....I frequently treaten to give E's toys away if he doesn't pick them up....and I get the " I can't! it's too hard...I need help"..

Take care hon...

I hope you guys are all on the mend!! We'll probably be going to the park tomorrow (Saturday 5th). If you're well & keen. I'll send you an SMS in the morning.

Matt does the "Too hard. There's too many." routinue as well.

A few weeks ago I grabbed the bin from the study & started putting the toys in it. He bawled and bawled but he started to pick up the rest of toys VERY quickly.

I slowly snuck the ones "in the bin" back into the toy afew days later.
