Well I didn't sleep well. For some reason I spent most of the night worrying about getting busted as the Easter Bunny! I know that the day will eventually come, but I think 4.5 & 3.5 is just a little too young to lose that precious innocence.
Anyway, I was out the front in the dark strewing the chocolate eggs about at 5am. I also had a bunny footprint cut out of A4 copy paper (next time I'll use card!!) and flour and sifter to make bunny footprints on the lawn. I reckon the paper delivery person who drove past would have been talking about me (& maybe a few other loonies) when s/he got home. lol
Anyway, the hunt went well. I didn't get busted. The girls got up at the respectable hour of about 7.30 (after I'd told them to go back to bed earlier & they'd forgotten about the impending excitement).
They are so sweet. They both used the mini baskets that they'd made at school/library during the week prior to Easter & then offloaded their scoops into a larger, communal bowl. OMG there is so much chocolate in this house it is NOT FUNNY!!!Nikita is just the most naturally generous child! Whilst hunting for eggs, she kept coming of to give me one. "Here Mum, this silver one's for you!!" As soon as she is given something, one of the first things she suggests is who she can share it with. So Sweet!! I know it's not going to last forever, but it's one of those things I wish would never change about her.
Sasha's had gastro since Good Friday. But today she is much better!! So she was back in good spirits & enjoyed some chocolate. She's quite good and doesn't each loads at each sitting. I can see she'll prob still have some Easter chocolate left by her birthday (if DB & I don't sneak some of it first!!). She had a little sleep this afternoon too as I thought that she prob needed it after being sick. Gastro takes it out of you!
David rang this afternoon. They're having communication problems on the rig so he hasn't had email/phones. Anyway, he wanted to call to tell me to look in the bottom drawer of my bedside table & there was a box of luscious gourmet chocolates. What a sweetie!! Little surprises like that are just the best & make me feel so special!! Thank you H!
On a side note, I'm really not happy with the quality of images I'm getting these days from my camera. I'm not sure if I've lost technique or if there's a technical problem with my camera/lenses. Just not getting good focus about 95% of the time. Very frustrated and unhappy with my pictures lately. Also loads of noise, even at ISO200. I think I need to take it in & get it looked at, but not too sure where to go. Place I took it to get it cleaned didn't really impress me as this has been an ongoing issue since then really - not happy that it's really clean. :(
But anyway, this strikes me as a cute shot. Oh, and despite my photographic challenges, I'm still LOVING Photoshop CS3 that my sweet husband bought me for our 10th wedding anniversary present!!
