Always learning something new!

As noted in previous post, Sasha's been sick with gastro bug on Good Friday & Easter Saturday. Her last 'gastric incident' was 10am on Saturday.

Now I always thought that waiting 24hrs after last gastric incident before socialising is ample. Larissa said that she waits 48hrs, and then looking online, seems to be the same - 48hrs.

So by 10am Easter Monday, we're in the clear to go socialising again.

Bad night last night - 3am Nikita comes in saying she's sick. I'm thinking she sounds snuffly, must be getting a cold. She tossed & turned & I ended up turfing her out to go back to her own bed. An hour later she comes down crying saying that she'd been sick & Teddy was "all wet" - ewwww.

Went down & sorted out her bed. Not too bad - just on her pillow & Teddy was easily wiped up. Towels laid & she went back to sleep.

This morning - 7.15am - Nikita standing in my doorway & threw up a load of water she'd just drunk. So I guess we're still in the throes of gastro in this house-hold.

So close to 48hrs!!! If I'd listened to my own thoughts of 24hrs, we'd have gone out yesterday & passed the bug to who knows how many others. So, I have a new rule for gastro - 48hrs!!!

Hope I don't get it. I cope much better looking after sick kids, than having to let them look after themselves when I'm on death's door. I guess I'll find out within the next 48+ hours...
