The girls are getting very inquisitive! For a while now I've been getting lots of definition questions "what does driven mean", etc.
Today as we drove over the bridge towards the city, omg it was such a beautiful day!! I was commenting on how gorgeous the weather is and how lucky we are to live in such a beautiful place. The view across the river was fantastic - water skiers, yachts, just magnificent. Then the girls were asking why we were making the city move, and I had to try to explain the it wasn't moving, but because we were it made it appear the the city was moving - all to do with perspective.
Next, why aren't we making the sky move? Well it's too big to appear to move when we do - we're really tiny in comparison to the sky.
And finally, why are we making the sun move? Hmm, I think because the sun's really far away, it seems really small and because of that, when we move, it appears the sun moves too.
Listen, these questions are really tricky. I might have to find out and get back to you!!! But basically it's all to do with perspectives, ummmm I think.... *unsure*.

Apart from the tricky questions, all our Easter plans, including birthday lunch for NannaJay tomorrow, have now gone pear shaped as Sasha is unwell. Spewin', temps, sore tummy, achey hips. So, I'm off to bed for an early night as I fear I will be called upon during the night to change bedding.

Hmm, I think the answer to the moving city is called a motion parallax. Go on, google it - you know you want to!! lol
Forgot to add that Sasha taught me that the lines on the brain are called Dendrites and according to her, you get a new dendrite every time you learn something new. I think we're all in line for a whole lotta dendrites over the coming years!!
