This LO has taken me a whole 2 weeks to complete!! I can't believe it. I guess that's what you get when your husband is home. Not too sure about the tag in the middle with the brads. I think that could have been placed a bit better. But I'm loving the machine stitching and the chipboard letters (charm).
It's the first time I've used hinges on a LO, and it certainly was trial & error. Underneath the hinged section I wrote my journalling. Unfortunately I wrote it so that when flipped over to read, it was upside down. I covered the back of the flap with a piece of cardstock, and then re-wrote my journalling on a piece of cardstock adhered to the background. Gee, who would have thought scrapbooking could be so technical.
It's very trendy though, in the fashions within scrapbooking are constantly changing. I guess that's to keep the market turning over and fresh. But it does make me wonder if in a few years I'll look at these same LO's and cringe.
No matter what though, I'll always love the photo's!!
Journalling says:
Nikki, this photo of you was taken late in the afternoon on Christmas
Eve'05 at Jimmy and Vikki's home in ********. We had just bought our brand
new digital SLR camera that day and already managed to capture this sweet image
of you. Aren't you just too cute!!
