Sasha's 5th Birthday - the wrap up

Friday - Sasha opened her presents before school & had Fruit Loops for brekkie.
Went to school in her new lace-up sneakers & Daddy stayed to be on parent roster. Nikita & I stayed to see a surprise assembly that they had where a representative from the West Coast Eagles Football Club came down & did a motivational speech. Then the WCE mascot came over - Nikita did not like him one bit & just about strangled me with her headlock vice grip.
When I picked up Sasha from school there were about 6 cupcakes left - so glad there was more than enough to go around!! I gave a couple away to some of the parent's group kids from the other pre-primary class & had one myself. Then Sasha & I rode home.

Gorgeous weather, but cold! Had left over 4 cupcakes with candles & Happy Birthday to Sasha. Then we all got glammed up to go to Cicerello's for Fish & Chips. Just shy of $85 for the four of us - not cheap as chips these days!! Luckily we'd sold the old trundle bed & furniture during the day so we were cashed up for dinner. Sasha looked absolutely gorgeous in her new Pumpkin Patch outfit we'd given her.

Nikita was a fabulous birthday girl's sister & was very graceful in her excitement for Sasha's celebration. I only hope & wish that her sentiments will be reflected in Sasha come September.

Saturday came around & we headed off to Fairies Forever to Sasha's birthday party. It was very well organised. I'm so glad that I had a fully catered & organised party as only 1 other non-family parent stayed! I think the girls were suitably entranced by all the fairy magic & their take-home bags had some nice surprises in them too. Sasha got to keep her birthday cake fairy (which she has now covered with make-up from one of her other presents - looks a bit spooky like a Chucky doll now, lol), and also a small bottle with wishing stones in it from the other guests.

We then went to the Wild Rose Restaurant for lunch with just the family, including Andrew & Marisa. Lunch took absolutely aaages to arrive - about 1.5hrs after we sat down was our meals finally served I think. Anyway it was a good chat & the kids were soooo well behaved too.

We then came home with masses more presents for Sasha to open. David went to the footy with his BIL & stayed home with some very over-tired, over-stimulated, sugared up children. It was a great relief to finally have them in bed by the end of the day!
