Today's excitement consisted of a trip to North Perth to collect our broken digital video camera. It was going to cost us nearly $300 to repair it, and with the cost of new ones so much cheaper these days, we've decided not to repair this one.
After that, we had to find a post office & a NAB bank. I'd forgotten to pack the stroller, so both girls had to walk. They were pretty well behaved and held my hands nicely crossing the busy North Perth roads. Nikita tends to be easily sidetracked. She loves to pick things up as we dawdle along & say "What's dat, Mummy? Mummy, what's dat?..." continuously until I give her an answer. Tanbark seems to be her favourite strange object at the moment.
I was asked if they were twins on two separate occasions during the 15-20 minutes we were wandering around. They weren't even dressed the same today (which I am sometimes guilty of!).
Anyway, those administrative affairs were all dealt with & we came home for lunch. I've also made about 20 phone calls today for playgroup & family stuff. I think playgroup stuff is actually up-to-date for the time being, so that means I might even get to scrap tonight. I have a tin album I'm trying to finish for David to take offshore with him, and then a list of other things I want/need to do.
So, it's been a really busy, but boringly mundane last few days. Hopefully I'll get the creative juices flowing tonight & have some finished scrap pieces to show off. Also, must get organised & photograph a whole heap of stuff I'm going to sell on EB tomorrow.
Sasha starts daycare tomorrow. I'm looking forward to it for her. I think she's going to have so much fun there. Plus I'm relishing the idea of spending some 1 on 1 with Nikita as I sometimes look at her & wonder just who she is. Nikita will, I'm sure, enjoy having a free for all with the toys at home. Hopefully it will be the win-win scenario I'm envisioning.
Beef Blackbean Stir-fry for dinner tonight. Yum!!!
