Well I'm feeling heaps better - finally - although I'm still waiting for my voice to return to normal. Then the singing can start again. I do love to sing along with the kids' songs, even if they don't always appreciate it.
We had NannaJay, Larissa, Christiian, Grace, Andrew & Marisa come to visit for a catch-up morning tea. It was really lovely. We showed them the photos from our holiday in June and also a little demo of what our new computer can do, which they were all suitably impressed at.
Then we all went outside for the kids to play on the swings & cars & bikes, etc. It was quite chilly with the breeze, but the sun was lovely and warm. Such gorgeous Winter weather this year, although terrible for the dams & farmers. My perfect formula would be buckets of rain all night, every night & then these beautiful clear Winter's Days every day. That would make me happy.
Larissa's looking fabulous & happy. She's suffering the dreaded cold lurgy at the moment, but smiling through it as usual. Christiian had been up at 4.30am (?) riding 70km in the freezing cold. We even had frost on our lawns at 8.30 this morning, so I dread to think what the temp was when he was riding. Grace is going well. She'd had a tummy upset during the week, but seems to be getting over it, although she hasn't quite got her appetite back. She's grown so much & the three kids are all getting quite close in height.
I found out today that Marisa is planning a trip to Argentina in September for five weeks. That will be exciting for her & her family. She will continue her business whilst she is there too. Andrew is heaps better since his hospital stay. He & Marisa are off to Gavin's tonight for his birthday party.
NannaJay got a lovely warm welcome from the girls this morning. They were very excited to see her & lots of cuddles & kisses all around.
David enjoyed being The Barista for the guests & using his new Cappucino Machine. He's heading off again tomorrow, so the timing for today's get together was perfect.
Last night we went to visit Karlene, Leo & Harrison. It was so good to see them. The girls were quite well behaved for the most part & it was so good to be able to go out in the evening & not have to rush off home again straight after we'd finished eating. We're starting to turn the corner get some more flexibility in our lives again. We left at about 10pm after a really fun evening.
