Locked Out

Yesterday, as we were heading out to the park for a play, the kids were arguing & misbehaving in the car. I'd just, for once, love to see them get into their seats & sit there. Instead of always having to mess with the rear-view mirror, lights, wipers, etc. Arrrgh!!

Anyway, I got them in their seats, went in to get some hair ties as their hair was messy. Came out with everything... ...except the house keys! And the door was locked behind me. Whoops!

Luckily I remembered back in the early days when our house was still being built, David taught me how to break in using a credit card. It worked!! So I went in, got the house keys and then came out & locked the door - including the dead bolt we'd had installed shortly after David had shown me how easy it is to break in using a normal lock!!! Thankfully the dead bolt cannot be activated without the keys, so impossible to lock out through that door.

The girls had a lovely long play at the park. It was chilly but they would NOT have jackets/jumpers on. I sat on the wall & read a scrapping mag, huddled in my coat. Have woken up today to a sore throat, and rain outside. So I'm glad we made the effort to go out to play yesterday, because today's going to be inside entertainment all the way.
