It's Grand Final Day 2007

The house is quiet. No Grand Final party happening here. No Grand Final party to go to either. Seems strange really. I'm going to head out with the girls this morning and grab some supplies for a BBQ lunch, and we'll have the TV on all day watching all the tributes and has-beens.

There's a few certainties on Grand Final day for me;-

  1. I cry at the tributes and life stories to football legends (from all teams)
  2. I always stand and sing the National Anthem - and the girls stand too. One day they'll learn the words and I think they'll always associate it with football as one of our national icons.
  3. I love watching the pre-game entertainment.
This year there's a few special things to note. The first of which is GO GEELONG!!!! I hope they bring home the flag, especially for their dedicated supporters. I'm so disappointed that David is offshore & going to miss celebrating it at home with his family & friends, but I think he's going to have a larger crowd to share & enjoy it with on the rig anyway.

So anyway off to get organised for the day - fabulous weather for a Grand Final!!

Good to see Garry's leg injury didn't jinx the boys today ;-)

I hope Dave got to enjoy the day on the rig!
