Playgroup AGM

Well it's that time of year where the playgroup winds up & tonight we held our AGM. I re-nominated for Secretary, as I had planned to. Just one more year to get through.

After Tara did her President's report I actually came to realise that we had successfully run the Playgroup for a whole year. We've got good money in the bank, we've had a couple of complaints that we've dealt with as best we can, and we've gone from 2 half-full sessions per week, to 5 sessions, 3 of which are full most of the time. Kudos to the Committee. I take personal fulfilment seeing my ideas and innovations carried out successfully and am proud of my contributions to the running of the group.

During the meeting, Clare had brought along the photos I'd taken during her shoot last week to show off to some of the girls, and I had a couple of people ask if I'd come and do a shoot for them too. So it looks like I'm starting to build a bit of a reputation.

Maybe I'll look at starting to charge a portfolio building session fee from 1st January (with the exception of these two ladies) on the condition that they sign a release to allow me to use the images for the promotion of my photography business (lol - that sounds soooo wierd!! I still can't call myself a 'photographer'). And maybe I should charge a bit more if they want to just keep the images for themselves (ie so I can't use them). Hmmm, just thinking out loud here.

Busy day tomorrow - swimming, playgroup surprise for baby's group, lots of housework, etc. Then Thursday photo shoot with Larissa for the kids' Christmas shots. So I MUST get some ironing done tomorrow too. Then off to KMart for a couple of things which go on sale, then meeting Clare & Dylan at Garden City so Sasha can take Dylan to see Santa (he's too scared to go on his own).

Enough for now - gotta get some sleep & then gotta get organised for swimming!!
