Anzac Day 2006

Every year, particularly on Anzac Day, I think about how different my life would be if it were not for those who gave their own lives for our country.

Day-to-day I take it for granted just how lucky I am, and yet I do truly appreciate the unimaginable sacrifice made by the thousands of men, women and children who have lost lives and loved ones to protect our freedom.

I think either next year, or the year after, we will start taking the girls to dawn service and to the marches. They'll love it I'm sure - they already have a strong identification with the Australian Flag.
