House guest

Sasha got to bring Dreamy Dog home from school last Thursday for an overnight stay. She's been waiting for so long to have a turn of bringing him home & felt very special. In his bag he had a scrapbook, pencils & textas & the children were encouraged to draw pictures, have photos & write about his stay. Sasha was more than happy to come out to the trampoline & pose with him.

David didn't quite get the purpose of his visit. To me, I think it was just a means of encouraging the kids to write about things and also as a reward/incentive at school.

awwww lovely. I think it also promotes responsibility and sharing. My nieces and nephews have all done much the same at their schools too.

Very cute!!

Matt's class has Billy Bear, got to bring him home the weekend of he's birthday.

He has a bag with a diary where the kids write what they did with Billy and draw pictures as well. Billy also brings the Peter Rabbit book with him to be read to him before bedtime.

In Kindy it was Boots The Dog.

It's a lovely idea isn't it?

Oh that reminds me...I don't think I got any photos of Matt with Billy!!
