Disco diva!

Nikki had her PreKindy disco today from 1 - 2.30pm. It was good fun! We took Sasha to school & then we came home & I did a few odd jobs around the place. Then, whilst Play School was on TV I had Nikki sit at the end of the coffee table with her feet up on a step. I painted her freshly clipped toe & finger nails. She then sat as still as stone for the rest of Play School whilst it dried. She didn't quite realise that it wasn't going to wash off at the end of the day - she was concerned it would come off in the bath - doesn't everything??!?

Anyway after our lunch on the wall out the back in the glorious sunshine, we got dressed. I put some glitter in her hair and on her cheeks & nose - you can see it sparkling in the close-up shot (click on the thumbnail to see larger image - hope it's not too big!!), and we headed down. OMG it was HOT in the room - can't imagine how uncomfortable they must get in the middle of summer! (we'll find that out when Sasha is dancing in the arvo's in Term 4!). Nikita joined in with the dancing. They played musical bops, limbo & we all danced the Hokey Pokey. There was also LOADS of party food. We'd taken 18 cups of jelly. Nikita ate about 15 truffle-sized Honey Joys - she just couldn't get enough of them.

Towards the end, I rang one of the PrePrimary mums & asked if she'd bring Sasha down to dancing (at the same community centre), as her daughter is in the same dancing class. That meant that we didn't have to rush off to collect her & we stayed to help clean up.
