Busy busy busy!!!

Wow this week is a busy one!!! Aside from our weekly schooling, dancing, swimming, working stuff we have two parent meetings, dinner at NannaJay's, Nikita's birthday, Sasha going to a friend's party, sports carnival, dress-up day for Nikita & dress-up day for Sasha! And that's just Monday to Friday this week!!! Jeepers!!

Nikita's going to PreKindy on Thursday as "Snoinksy" - the third little pig from The Three Little Pigs nursery rhyme as she has to dress up as a nursery rhyme character or fairy tale character. That's an easy one as we have a pig costume & she can take a mini wheel barrow with some blocks in it for the bricks to build her house.

Sasha is going to PrePrimary on Friday as a butterfly. She needs to go as either a Minibeast or an Australian Animal. Last night I free-hand drew a butterfly wing on some card paper & cut it out. There's two layers of card paper & there's some holes cut in it where I've put some cellophane. Tonight I'm just going to add some foil/prismatic type paper shapes (can't think of the right name) - something to bling it up a little. So far it's looking really good - I'm quite proud of my efforts - just hope I don't stuff it up when I add the elastic so that it goes on okay!!!

Aside from that I've been busy making a little pressie for her student teacher. She's had a student teacher for all of this term and she is finishing up teaching the kids this Friday, hence the party. So I've made a little paper handbag using my Cricut Expression & I'm going to fill it with M&Ms which I'm slowly munching my way through as I type this post. So in the interests of reserving some M&M's for the little handbag, I'd better make a move!!!
