Scuppers the Sailor Dog

Here's Sasha in her Book Week dress-up for last Wednesday. A bit of a better effort than the previous spider attempt. I was up nice & early that day to get the face painting done. I was relatively happy with how that turned out - I thought she looked soooo cute, even though she refused to smile & just getting her to look at the camera was a task & a half. NannaJay came along to watch the parade as well.

That was an eye-opener on it's own. Seeing how they packed about 900 kids into one undercover area - oh boy!! It was amazing to see how extroverted some of the older kids are when they were doing their parade. They were hand-slapping the younger kids as if they were movie-stars/sports stars. Some of the boys were dressed as fairies or other females. I don't remember kids being that extroverted when we were growing up.

Anyway Sasha had a fabulous day, although I'm sure the reason for it was lost in the excitement of having a dress-up day for school. This Friday, the she has her first school excursion to the zoo. She's been to a couple of other places for excursions, but somehow those classic excursions to the zoo & museum are the classic 'real' excursions for me. I must go & read up what food, etc I need to organise for her.

hehe cute puppy!!

I don't remember kids being that extroverted when we were growing up. The boys I went to school with would rather die that dress up as a fairy or like!.

Hope Sasha has a wonderful time on her 'real' excursion!!
