Yep, 10.30pm & just finished getting the girls into bed. :o Well, see we have this thing now where Saturday night is movie night. The deal is the girls need to have a decent afternoon sleep & if they do that, then we watch a movie after dinner on Saturday night. Tonight's movie of choice was Madasgcar.
Then after the movie finished at about 8pm, we went for a drive to look at Christmas lights. Only there was still too much daylight, so we went further & further afield. We ended up driving through Hamilton Hill past the back of Andrew & Marisa's & saw that they had a visitor. So we drove past the front of their house & they were having a party it turned out. I had a little think & realised it could be Marisa's birthday, I know it's in December. We decided to stop in to say hello/hola & maybe wish Marisa a Happy Birthday. It turned out to be a joint celebration for Andrew & Marisa's birthday. We stayed for a quick drink & then continued on our way.
I must say that there are still some amazing Christmas light displays, but not nearly so many as there have been in previous years. Anyway, when we finally got home, we went for a little walk down the road to look at Josh’s lights (one of Sasha’s kindy friends who lives down the street from us). Then back home again, toilet, teeth, story, bed, 5 mins, GOOD NIGHT!!
And now, at 10.53, I will post this & head to bed myself.
I’m so very tired from so many late nights & I am still on Christmas overdrive. Soooo many things to do, so little time & confusion over priorities reigns supreme.
Tomorrow may hold a trip to Gateways which is open for extended shopping hours up until Christmas Eve (yay!!). I need to get Sasha (read : both girls) a Christmas T-shirt in red, green or white for her Kindy concert. Also Santa will be arriving at the centre. Usually he comes in on a sled pulled by Alaskan Malamutes, so lots of fun & lots of crowds. This year his throne is set up next to the new food court, so due to health regulations, he may be walking in. I guess we’ll see tomorrow….
