Goldilocks is no more

Okay, it's been yet another busy few days & my poor old brain is really suffering a little from lack of sleep.

Picked up the PC from Harvey Norman on Wed & was up late for two nights reloading tonnes of stuff. Almost everything is sorted out nicely now. Then I've got tonnes of catch-up stuff. Still to work on photo's taken for Clare's son Christian a couple of weeks ago, so I'll hopefully do some of that tomorrow night.

Friday night I was lucky enough to go out scrapping for the evening. It was a 6-midnight crop. I was in a bit of a funny mood & chatted non-stop the whole time I was there, even though I only knew a small number of people. It was great to get out & have that 'me' time.

Unfortunately that late night meant it was extra hard to get out of bed on Saturday morning. The girls got up nice & early & luckily were happy enough to play nicely together. Then at about 7.30 I could hear Sasha playing with what sounded like the kitchen scissors. I called out to her to put them away. About 30 seconds later, I still hear them, so I go down to the living room to make her put them away & there's Nikita's beautiful long, golden baby curls ALL OVER THE FLOOR!!

Chickadee now sports a very cute little bob. I'm sad in a way as we were going to see how long we could hold out before getting her first haircut. I'm relieved that it was only hair that got cut. I think it's quite funny - one of those stories that will be related over & over again until I'm quite sure the girls can quote it verbatim in years to come.

We took her to Booragoon for a tidy up & we all had trims too. So that pretty much burnt up Saturday morning. Saturday arvo was a mad rush trying to get organised before Grant & Lana & their kids came over for a BBQ dinner. I was doing some work with Grant creating a logo for his businesses. It was a late night for the kids because Evan was still here, so they all stayed up to 11pm!!

Today we went to a playcentre up in Wangara for cousin Caleb's 6th birthday. The party was from 1-2, followed by play time. We left at about 3.30 & it was too late for afternoon sleeps. Although David did try to get Nikki off for a snooze when we got home. I took Sasha for a walk down to Harmony Primary School where she played on 3 playgrounds, met some kids & we had a chat with the two resident chickens. She thought they were pretty cool, but just a little bit scarey. I had to piggy-back her home most of the way as she was pretty worn out.

Both of the lovely little cherubs fell asleep during their bedtime stories which is just the best thing. They look so misleadingly innocent in their sleep - they're just too adorable.

Anyway off to scrapbook some more...!
