For the first time ever, Sasha has taught me a song! Every other song we've sung, has been one I've already known, one I've taught her, or one we've learnt together. Yesterday after Kindy she sang me Crabs & Seashells (to the tune of Frere Jacques).
Crabs & Seashells
Crabs & seashells
Great white sharp (yes that's what she actually says lol)
Great white shark
Octopus & penguin
Octopus & penguin
Dolphin too
Dolphin too.
She's recited to it every friend or family member we've seen since with me standing by with my goofy proud mum grin on my face.
Nikita's thoroughly intrigued & interested and has pretty much learnt the song too.
Maybe I will think about popping her in 3yo kindy at the end of the year.
So proud of Sasha!! And she's just oh so cute when she sings it too. It's just the first of many milestone achievements during her kindy year that we have to look forward to. Only 3 more sleeps until Pirate Day at kindy & her excitement is rubbing off on me.
Rose & Pam came over last night for scrapping. So we had a great chin wag & got a bit of stuff done too. Rose told me a pirate joke which I hope Sasha can tell her teachers.
Sasha - "Why are Pirates called Pirates"
Teacher - "I don't know Sasha, why are pirates called pirates?"
Sasha - "Because they arrrrh!!!" (Swing arm in a most swashbuckling fashion)
I can just picture it. lol
