It's been a very busy couple of days. David left yesterday morning to go to Darwin, and then offshore this morning to the rig. So I spent all day yesterday doing the housework that gets completely neglected when he is home. I was still going at 9.30pm!! And then only getting to bed at 1am after updating playgroup paperwork. Up again at 6.30 this morning and straight back into it - fornightly groceries and still more washing.
Sasha & Nikita played nicely yesterday for the most part which really helped me get through loads of stuff. As I was vacuuming, I was thinking how much they've grown up. Just a few months ago, they used to follow me around crying as I vacuumed because they didn't like it (go figure!!). Now they're off playing with their cars, or outside.
Today they were really good with the shopping, although the interest in colouring in as they sit in the trolley is waining. We had to buy a couple of golden books to read (aka fight over - even though they were identical!!).
Sasha's really cute reading books. I've noticed just this week that if she knows you're watching her read, you'll hear her say "Once upon a time...". Today she had The Pokey Little Puppy golden book and she started off loudly with "Once upon a time the dog went over the hill...".
The rest of the shopping excursion consisted of Nikita's shrieks (lovely - NOT), a bit of arguing as they try to squash each other, choruses of A,B,C..., and loads of "are YOU copying ME???".
Must be a blue moon - the bread came home in pristine, oblong condition!!

Well done on getting the bread home in one piece - I generally do the groceries by myself and I still manage to squish it!
