Blood, Wet & Tears

It's been a busy day again. It was Sasha's last swimming lesson for the term, and it's only dawned on me sometime after, that it's the last time I need to accompany her in the water for her lesson as she would be graduating to the independant swimming classes next term if we were taking her back. Kind of sad to realise that yet again we're coming to the end of an era. All the kids were kind of feral at swimming today anyway, so it was the last thing on my mind during the lesson. Sasha was, again, one of the best behaved in the class. But even she wasn't at her best.

Nikita, as has been her way of late, has had another day in the wars. She fell of the retaining wall outside this afternoon, after her nap. I heard a thud & then her cry and rushed over to find her in a very wierd position with her head twisted around all wrong & she was having trouble trying to get up. She managed to right herself before I could reach her though. OMG talk about scarey!! She had a cry for a minute or two & then was off and about again. Next thing, 5 minutes later I see her at the top of the slide jumping up & down. Of course I tell her to "Sit down!!!!", take my eye off her for a split second, hear a bang & then her cry. She's at the bottom of the slide with blood pouring out of her mouth. Damn near put a tooth right through to the other side of her lip. Actually, not sure how she's managed to keep all of her teeth with the way she plays. Another cry for a minute or two & a cuddle & then she's off back up the slide. She did, however, listen when I told her to sit down & stop jumping this time.

I did, eventually, convince her to come inside so that I could clean her up. Little kids are so tough, it's unbelievable!!

The rest of the evening passed without incident, thank goodness

Hey Dani! Cool blog babe :)
I know what you mean about kids constantly doing damage to themselves LOL Miss E is always climbing and falling or tripping over or banging into something.
Guess that's what comes from having a completely uncoodinated mother tho... ;)
